Return & Refund Policy

This policy explains return eligibility, refund standards, defect remedies, exchanges, cancellations, and customer responsibilities for products purchased directly from TapIfLost.

This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made directly from TAPIFLOST through the TapIfLost website or other TAPIFLOST-controlled checkout channels, unless a different written policy is expressly presented at the time of purchase.

This Policy applies only to direct purchases from TAPIFLOST. Purchases from third-party retailers, distributors, marketplaces, resellers, or promotional partners are subject to their own return and refund policies.

1. General Policy Structure

Because TAPIFLOST sells physical NFC-enabled recovery products and related goods, eligibility for return, refund, exchange, replacement, or store credit may depend on product condition, activation status, damage, personalization, misuse, and the timing of the request.

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not comply with this Policy, subject to applicable law.

2. Return Eligibility

Subject to applicable law and the exclusions below, a product may be eligible for return if:

  • it was purchased directly from TAPIFLOST
  • the return request is made within the applicable return window stated at checkout or, if no specific window is stated, within a commercially reasonable period determined by TAPIFLOST consistent with applicable consumer law
  • the product is unused or in materially resalable condition, unless the reason for return is a verified defect
  • the product is returned with original components, where applicable
  • proof of purchase can be verified

3. Non-Returnable or Restricted Items

Unless required by law, the following may be non-returnable or subject to reduced remedies:

  • personalized or custom-made products
  • products altered, damaged, or misused after delivery
  • products missing major components
  • products returned without adequate packaging causing transit damage
  • products subject to fraud, chargeback abuse, or suspicious activity
  • digital, downloadable, or immediately consumed services, where applicable and permitted by law
  • products activated or associated with an account in a manner that makes resale or reassignment impracticable, except for verified defect claims

4. Damaged, Defective, Incorrect, or Nonfunctional Products

If you receive a product that is defective, physically damaged upon delivery, materially different from what you ordered, or nonfunctional under normal intended use, contact TAPIFLOST promptly through the support channels on tapiflost.com.

We may request:

  • order information
  • product identifier
  • photos or video
  • packaging details
  • a description of the problem
  • troubleshooting cooperation where reasonable

If TAPIFLOST determines that a valid defect or fulfillment error exists, we may provide one or more of the following remedies, in our discretion and to the extent permitted by law:

  • replacement
  • exchange
  • repair guidance
  • store credit
  • partial refund
  • full refund

The specific remedy may depend on inventory availability, the nature of the issue, abuse review, and legal requirements.

5. Return Process

To initiate a return or refund request, you must contact TAPIFLOST through the support or contact channels on tapiflost.com and provide sufficient information for us to identify the order and assess eligibility.

If a return is authorized, TAPIFLOST may provide return instructions. You must follow those instructions. Unauthorized returns or returns sent without sufficient identifying information may be delayed, denied, or treated as abandoned to the extent permitted by law.

6. Shipping Costs and Responsibility

Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated by TAPIFLOST:

  • original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • return shipping is the customer’s responsibility for remorse-based returns
  • TAPIFLOST may cover return shipping or provide a prepaid method for verified defects, shipping errors, or TAPIFLOST-responsible issues
  • you bear the risk of loss for returns until received by TAPIFLOST, unless we provide a prepaid or controlled return method and applicable law provides otherwise

7. Refund Method and Timing

Approved refunds are generally issued to the original payment method used for purchase, unless otherwise required by law or agreed by TAPIFLOST.

Refund timing may depend on processor timelines, financial institution delays, fraud review, return receipt, inspection, and order status. Store credit or replacement may be offered instead where permitted by law and accepted by the customer.

8. Exchanges and Replacements

Where supported, TAPIFLOST may offer exchanges or replacements instead of refunds. Replacement eligibility may depend on stock availability, account history, defect verification, and the condition of the returned product.

9. Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancellable before fulfillment begins, but once an order has entered processing, packaging, shipment, or fulfillment, cancellation may no longer be possible. TAPIFLOST reserves the right to cancel any order at any time for fraud review, stock limitations, pricing errors, or legal or operational reasons, in which case an appropriate refund of amounts actually charged will be issued.

10. Chargebacks and Abuse

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first making a good-faith effort to resolve the issue through TAPIFLOST support, we reserve the right to contest the dispute and to suspend associated account privileges or product-related services as permitted by law and contract.

Fraudulent, abusive, or manipulative refund activity may result in denial of future returns or purchases.

11. Consumer Law Rights

Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
